“The devil finds work for idle hands!” our grandparents said. In our time, however, the leisure becomes more and more important and bigger part of our lives. When we are looking for a way to pass this time in a wise way, our animals can set a good example. For many animals the phases of rest and recovery play an important role for their own physical well-being or the social contacts within the group. And especially zoo animals have so much time off since they usually will do without the time-consuming search for food. So on our guided tour we will have a look at our animals’ recreational activity. A hot topic, especially in the summer and holiday season. So if you want to know what animals do to ensure that they don’t go crazy with boredom and how we can help them is invited to join us.

This guided tour is offered at no additional charge. It is subject to the normal admission fees. Meet us at 3 p.m. at the zoo entrance.
